A spacious house with a large private garden, Nectar is a long-time favourite with families, wedding parties, and honeymooners. Nectar has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a warm outside shower and large braai / BBQ area. It has a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry, wireless Internet, an open fireplace, and those extra touches to make you feel at home. 250 metres from the house is a shop and restaurant which are open 364 days a year.
Nature's valley offers some of the best hiking in South Africa, including the famous Otter Trail which ends in Nature's Valley, as well as lots of day trips for the fit and less fit. Canoeing, birding, swimming, fishing, whale and dolphin watching can all be enjoyed just a minutes' walk from Nectar Cottage garden.
Within a range of about 20km you will find The Elephant sanctuary, Monkey Land, Birds of Eden; and Tenikwa animal sanctuary; or you can enjoy kayaking, horse riding, cycling, golfing, diving, sailing, cruising, paragliding, parasailing, micro lighting, abseiling, and bungee jumping - the highest in the world! Drive a bit further and you will find Buffalo Hills Game Farm, Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary, The Butterfly sanctuary, Forest Ferns, Shamwari Game Reserve with the big 5, and the Wolf Sanctuary.

Het was weer heel fijn, heerlijke locatie zo vlak bij het park!
Heerlijke heel goed verzorgde kamer en super locatie! En Maaike is erg zorgzaam.
Mein Partner und ich waren sehr zufrieden mit der Wohnung. Das Äußere des Apartments schreckt zunächst ab, Innen ist es allerdings sehr schön und modern. Wir würden ein zweitens Mal bleiben.
I had a wonderful time in Berlin in Maaike's Charlottenberg apartment. It is very spacious with a nice kitchen area, large living room and bedroom with ample closet space. The bathroom is also quite big with a huge shower/tub that even includes jets, excellent shower pressure and plenty of hot water. I was there at the end of winter and the heating kept the apartment very cosy. The location is really excellent: within a roughly 3 block area you have a grocery store, drug store, pharmacy, post office, several subway stations and multiple cafes, coffee houses and restaurants...all in a very quiet neighborhood. It is 30 minutes or less to the Deutsch Opera, Komische Opera and Staatsopera by U-Bahn. An associate of Maaike's is on site and is very sweet and helpful; and Maaike herself was very accessible as well.
I would recommend this apartment without hesitation to anyone who is looking for a lovely place in Berlin to use as a base while exploring the city.
It's a nice apartment with a selected interior. The location in Charlottenburg is well-chosen with everything you need for a city-trip by yourself. although we arrived late in the evening the managerin Mrs. Ries was friendly and very keen.
The contact to Maaike and the processing of the rent was fast and uncomplicated, the price is ok for what you get.
ps.: even though we didn't cook, a heater would be nice ;-)
The apartment is well equipped, with ample space and appropriate furniture. The sector level is medium, auntenticamente German Berliner, quiet and safe, with supermarkets (Lidl and close), shops of all kinds, good cafes, bars and varied restaurants, both German and exotic, very close. The subway is 200 meters approx. and with a couple of alternatives to reach the historic center in about 30 minutes. We left the rented car parked in the street in front of the apartment for several days, no problem. To drive from there to the center was also easy and fast, maybe the same or less time in the subway, and there were plenty of public parking places. The manager, Frau Ries, very friendly. She spoke only German, and did not understand anything she said, or she to us, but with gestures, previous experience and goodwill all correctly guessed what had to negotiate or communicate. Maaike also helped prepare all that because if she speaks English. No surprise, all right, friendly and efficient.
El apartamento esta bien equipado, con espacios amplios y mobiliario adecuado. El sector es de nivel medio, auntenticamente aleman berlines, tranquilo y seguro, con supermercados (y Lidl cerca), tiendas de todo tipo, buenas cafeterias, bares y restaurantes variados, tanto alemanes como exoticos, muy cercanos. El metro esta a 200 metros aprox. y con un par de alternativas como para llegar al centro historico en unos 30 minutos. Nosotros dejamos el coche alquilado estacionado en la calle, en frente del apartamento, durante varios dias, sin ningún problema. Ir en coche desde alli hasta el centro tambien fue facil y rapido, quiza igual o menos tiempo que en el metro, y habia bastantes lugares de parking publico. La encargada, Frau Ries, muy amable. Ella no hablaba mas que aleman, y no entendimos nada de lo que ella decia, ni ella a nosotros, pero con gestos, la experiencia previa y buena voluntad todos adivinamos correctamente lo que habia que negociar o comunicar. Maaike tambien ayudo a preparar todo eso, porque ella si habla ingles. Ninguna sorpresa, todo correcto, amable y eficiente.
