Reviews of this property
The very small room enough to sleep and little else.
The bathroom very old, needs updating YA. To turn on the light, for example, you have to pull a ceiling cuerdecita leaving (one short person is not reached).
Overall very average, the stairs to this floor are very narrow and the floor carpet is dirty.
However the location is very good, with bars, restaurants, supermarkets and excellent communication with public transport.
The worst detail was that they wanted to charge £ 5 for two bags of hand leaving a couple of hours since we left the room to catch the bus to the airport.
Very well situated for housing practice with a Tesco 24/24 50m, clean and well equipped (fridge in the room, kitchen with microwave and washing machine ...) The room was small but practical.
The only downside for us was the bathroom (one shared between five double bedrooms, a lot of waiting some mornings) without separate toilet (with a little functional flush) and some molds.
Marcos was welcoming and helpful.
Even though the bedroom is very small, smaller than what we had thought, it's a pretty nice room with a little table, a small fridge, a wardrobe, a chair and an iron.
Best thing about it was its location since its very near Liverpool Street Station and in a very lively neighbourhood surrounded by pubs, bars and supermarkets.Worst thing about it was that there wasn't an elevator and since it's on the second or third floor it was pretty difficult to arrive there with all the luggage.
It might not look very glamurous fr toom the outside but there's always someone willing to help and we met a south american woman, who I think worked as a cleaner, that was very nice and helped my friend and I by translating some things that we weren't very sure of what to say in English.
We didn't meet Marcos until he came up one day to show the place to some other guests but I have no complaints about the bedroom or our host. It's not the most fashionable of places but you get what you pay for. We would rent it again if we were to return to London.
Great room and a great location. Lots of bars and restaurants around and in the middle of the centre. You shouldn't expect a very luxurious room. It's just a good room, especially compared to what you pay for it.
I also stayed in another room owned by Marco. Something was wrong with the room, so instead of a new room, we got an entire cottage to ourselves. Marcos is a very friendly and helpful person. So, I will definitely recommend his rooms.
Nice room with own fridge. Daily cleaning. Bathroom sharing was sometimes a bit stressful. But I would book again.
Good location, minutes walk to the station. Really small room but comfortable bed, LCD TV, bar fridge and cupboard. Fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom between all guests (there was about 5 other double rooms on this floor). There's about three flights of narrow stairs to get up to the room, which is important if you've got heavy luggage (like we did). One criticism was that Marcos' number that he asked us to call him on did not work when we tried to call him, luckily we had internet connection and he saw a message we sent through Wimdu and he met us there, that was only by chance though, we could've been waiting for hours. Overall though, good value and convenient spot to explore London.
Not sure if I actually met Marcos. Had difficulty locating the address, rang several times to get directions but repeatedly given the address - which I of course already knew. Finally had to use an exorbitantly priced taxi.
The overall condition of the property was very run down, carpets very badly stained on stairs/landings. My room was at the top of four flights of stairs, which If given the choice I would not have booked as I have back problems which were exacerbated by having to carry my suitcase up the stairs.
