Sunny Home in the heart of Trastevere
|Address||Vicolo del Bologna, 00153 Roma, Italy|

The one bedroom apartment is ideal for couples, although it can comfortably accomodate up to four guests; two on the queen size bed in the bedroom and two on the queen size bed in the living room. The bathroom had two doors and opens both onto the bedroom and the corridor, making it comfortably accessible for all guests, while ensuring privacy for all. Right next to it there is the washing machine which is also a dryer.
The apartment will be entirely at your disposal, all amenities included. We provide towels and bed sheets, as well as complimentary toiletries, to render your stay as comfortable as possible.
The kitchen is fully equipped and ideal for enjoying some company while cooking, not being closed off from the dining and living room; perfect for preparing a sumptuous lunch or quick aperitivo together with friends. For the fresh produce the best option is about 10 minutes away; the farmers market on Piazza San Cosimato, a small but well equipped market with everything from vegetable and fruits over meat, fish and typical italian cured meats and cheeses.
House rulesWe'd like our guests to be informed that since the 1st of January 2011 Rome City Council is asking for an overnight accommodation tax on tourist service in the city. This fee, 3.50 euros per night (10 nights maximum) per person (with the exception of children up to 10 years and in Rome residents), is not included in the total rate, and has to be paid cash upon arrival.
We are happy to meet for check-in and hand-over of keys at any hour of the day, however we kindly ask you to understand that we charge for late check-in. This fee is to be paid in cash upon arrival; €30 after 20:30 and €50 after 24.

Definitely a place to recommend! We are coming back for sure.
The San Peter Garden House is extremely nice. Three large bedrooms, two well-equipped bathrooms and a combined kitchen/livingroom. The beds were very comfy, and the kitchen had all we could ask for in pots and pans, cutlery etc. We also used the little garden a lot, especially at night with the lights on.
From the window in one of the bedrooms you could spot the top of the St. Peters Church, and it looked especially magnificent at night.
The location was fine, and in great walking distance to the St. Peters Church and the Vatican Museum. You can also walk over the Tiber and get pretty easily to the piazzas such as Campo dei Fiore or Piazza Navarro. If your legs are good you can also walk to the Colosseum and the Forum Romanum.
We received great service from the people renting out the apartment. They were just a phone call away, helped us with different information and reservation of transportation to the airport. On top of that they were super fluent in English.
- there was a good wifi connection
- very nice neighbors
Travel tip: We would NOT recommend buying tickets for the public transportation system since the buses are either full or not very reliable. Instead grab a cab and enjoy a conversation with the driver. Romans are generally very friendly and forthcoming, so just ask for help or directions.
Great experience in Rome! First time I used Wimdu and it worked perfectly. Very friendly and helpful contact, great organization from Emiliano and Maria, the whole appartment absolutely as advertised. Perfect location... 10-15 min. walk either to Termini or Colosseum. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area (Via Merulana).
When arriving in Rome we received a call that our booked and confirmed appartment was not available at the same day because of some issues with the keys...
An alternative for 1 night was offered to us and after a visit and a meeting with Emiliano we decided to stay at this appartment. At the next day we were picked up by car and brought to our originally booked appartment.
After that everything was really nice and the appartment is very clean and comfortable - just as visible at the picturers.
The host cancelled the booking, this review is automated.
We have stayed for 4 night at this apartment from 10th to 14th July , and I could say many positive things about it, but the most important is that we felt like home, and we have not missed absolutely nothing we could need. The apartment well worth, also for its excellent location, but certainly deserves much more the attention from theis owners. It is important to know that for any problems that may arise you are dealling with serious and formal people who respond adequately.
Of course, it is my apartment on future visitis to the city, which is totally recommend!.
A very lovely and private apartment, in a quiet local area just 10 min walk away from the Vatican. We enjoyed our stay very much and had the plaessure of being welcomed in the most hospital manner. The apartment was very well equipped with everything.( from bathroom supplies to kitchen utensils). just around the corner there are local pizzeria/resrtaurants filled with authenthic food and Roman residents. We will a any time highly recommend others to stay here during their stay in Rome. Allready looking forward to visit again.:-)
The location of the apartment is very favorable: within walking distance of many attractions (Pantheon, Cosmedin, Trastevere) and the tram outside the door. Near the train station Trastevere (beneficial to the airport) and shops and restaurants nearby.
The apartment is clean, the beds comfortable, there is a large roof terrace. The only drawback is that the bathroom is reached via a bedroom. There is a second toilet. The kitchen is well equipped.
The host is friendly and forthcoming. He arranged the taxi to and from the airport. The taxi was punctual on time.
We stayed from April 25 to May 2 in this beautiful apartment. The apartment is well situated in a fun and lively with lots of good and affordable restaurants. It is on a very busy street, the Viale Trastevere, but because the apartment on the top floor is (luckily there's an elevator), there is hardly any noise. Next to the apartment is an excellent and very affordable pizzeria. Because it is very popular, but there is usually a queue. You can eat indoors or on the terrace. In front of the apartment for both tram and bus stops, which is very convenient. The bathroom is only accessible through the master bedroom, which was not difficult for us. Incidentally, there is next to the toilet in the bathroom, a second toilet. What we particularly appreciated the presence of mosquito nets on the windows so it can be slept with the windows open without the mosquitoes keep you from your sleep.
We are very well informed in advance by Emiliano and Mary. The ability to take them through a regular taxi from the airport to the apartment (cost 50 euros), we have used gladly. Expensive than rail and bus, but much more comfortable!
The welcome by Mr Tommaso, the owner, was cordial. He advised us include some good restaurants in the area, of which we are one (La Cantina ......) have tried (simple but good). The other had, we also like to try, but they were always full. You must be in Rome to be sure of a table rather reservation, but we did not feel like it.
A restaurant that we can wholeheartedly recommend (super pasta, excellent and affordable wine) is Da Felice (Via Mastro Giorgio 29). It offers excellent local cuisine and is a 15 min walk from the apartment across the Tiber (less touristy) Testaccio.
It's not very expensive, but also not really cheap, about 50 euros per person. However, well in advance booking is a must!
Our stay in Rome was very successful despite the fact that there were an awful lot of tourists in this week. So long queues everywhere for the top sites. Tip: Vatican Museums on the Internet reservation and payment, not 2 to 3 hours having to stand in line.
All in all, this is an apartment that we can recommend wholeheartedly!
The apartment is in best location, only 500m from St. Peters Church.
We had a warm welcome with our greeter and everything was prepared. The apartment is really big, modern and clean. We really enjoyed our stay.
Thanks to Fabrizio and Emiliano.
The apartment is in a rather strategic and very close to St. Peter's Basilica and Vatican City. For those who like to walk and take long walks it is really ideal. Considering the prices really prohibitive in Rome the value for money was really good. Fabrizio welcomed us in a really friendly and was kind enough to allow us to leave our suitcases longer than our departure late pomeriggio.Consiglierei owners to leave but some information for tourists visiting Rome with the most important information, a map of the city and maybe some flyer or ticket with the recommended places to eat or where to buy. I happened to be a guest in other apartments in European capitals and have always found the apartment to find a small book with the most important information. From these we Italians we have certainly learn. A small note. In the kitchen are plenty of tea towels to dry the dishes.
