Really nice accommodation and kind owner. I recommend everybody to go. The house is pretty close to the city centre and well served with several buses. And last but not least... there is the moka to make coffe!
Gianluca was a really nice host, he offered us to try some different whiskeys and we had a nice chat with him. It takes just 10 minutes to get to his house from the city centre and he offers an affordable price in comparison to the other available options in Edinburgh. Advisable.
We stayed with Luca in two days. We arrived by bus 44 which is one of several possible, which means you never have to wait long to get to or from the city.
On arrival, Luca did not answer us when we wrote or called his number which was a little frustrating because we did not know how to use the intercom. Eventually we found out. We would have wished that the contact between us and him had been better.
When we walked in the door, we could immediately feel Lucas hospitality and that he wanted us to feel at home.
The room we stayed in was nice and clean with fresh linens and towels. However, there was no or really bad connection to the WiFi in the room which was a bit annoying.
Bath and kitchen were also nice and clean. However, the lock on the bathroom did not work so well witch was a little annoying because we were him and another couple living in the apartment.
We could use everything in the kitchen both cookware and food witch made it easy to cook.
We were allowed to use the whole apartment and his computer which was defiantly at plus.
Luca offers to help and are generally very hospitable and helpful. Luca is not as orderly so we are sure that if we had any special requests, he would have done everything he could to fulfill them.
The last night we came home late and he was going to bed in the living room. When we came in, he asked if we would like to use the room, so he would clear his bed away again. This shows that Luca is prepared to set his own need aside so that you feel at home.
If you need advice or a recommendation about finding a place to eat or an attraction. He is a good listener, open minded, positive, happy and welcoming.
Luca also has a good situational awareness about its guests.
One night we were in the apartment Luca was having some whisky with one of his friends and we were more than welcome to participate and taste his collection of whisky. Even his favorite whisky he shared. Later on he cooked some Italian food and kindly shared it with us. It was an evening that made our stay in Lucas apartment and Edinburgh special.
We are really happy to have stayed with Luca and can highly recommend him to others!!

Empfehlenswert
